"Travelling with Curators" Talk Series
Travel experience is different from one another. Some people choose to walk a thousand miles a day to explore all the travelling spots they desire to see, while others might travel without a plan and seek for a peaceful mind during their journey. This year, museum curators from Hong Kong, Guangdong, and Macao will share their unique travel experience with the public. Coming from the fields of art, history and science, these curators will decode the relationship between travel, career path finding and curatorship. They will also share how they seek for inspiration during their trips.

Strolling in the streets around a city is just like reading the stories of the history, livelihood, culture and art between lines of the book of the city. If you are interested in exploring more about their stories, come and join the curators from the Shenzhen Museum, Macao Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art for a stroll in the streets of the three cities.

Go Stargazing with the Curators

The curators of the Hong Kong Space Museum will introduce stargazing knowledge and techniques with the use of the digital planetarium projection system in the Space Theatre to simulate the night sky. Participants can use the telescopes on the rooftop for stargazing and make their own paper moon models.

Do you want to know how a Sky Show is produced? What is the secret of the OMNIMAX and the digital planetarium projection system? The assistant curators will take you to tour around the main production facilities of the museum, including the Space Theatre, the computer and audio control rooms and the OMNIMAX Projector room, where you can have a better understanding of the production of various shows.
