Museum Outward Bound Virtual Tour Series
"A Not-To-Be-Missed Railway Journey" Online Guided Tour

With the rapid development of Hong Kong's railways, passengers nowadays only need to tap their cards to get on the trains with comfort air-conditioning. How did citizens buy train tickets in the past? Why were the carriage windows pulled up when the train went through a tunnel? These are difficult for the younger generation to imagine.

Join the curators of the Hong Kong Railway Museum to travel through time and visit the "A Not-To-Be-Missed Railway Journey" virtual tour. You will discover the hidden stories about the exhibits, understand how the locomotives and historical coaches were transported to the museum for display, and take a closer look at the architectural features of the Old Tai Po Market Railway Station. Railway fans must not miss it!

This live streaming guided tour will be available on the "Visit HK Museums" Facebook, where registration is not required.

There will also be a Railway Museum Virtual Tour Interactive Game Session allowing only 250 participants to take part on a first come, first served basis. Interested parties are advised to enter the Zoom video conference 15 minutes before the programme begins. Those in the interactive game session will have a chance to win a souvenir.
