Conservation Clinic

Conservation Clinic is back! Our specialist conservators are ready to provide the public with consultation service on the condition and care of their treasures plus the following new services:

.Conservation specialties on metal and textile will be in service in addition to "Chinese painting and calligraphy", "photographs" and "archival document".

.Apart from Saturdays and Sundays, our clinic will also open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to provide participants with more options.

.Each consultation session will be extended to 20 minutes.

Same as the last year, participants will have a 30-minunte "clinical practice" in our well-equipped conservation laboratories to learn and practise the skills in preserving their treasures. Don't miss this chance! Apply now.

"Curator's Kitchen" Talk Series

In the Art Kitchen of Oi!, curators who specialise in art, history and science disciplines will become a "chef". With some very special and creative recipes, they will share their cooking with the public, along with their thoughts on Hong Kong art and culture as well as scientific knowledge discovered in the kitchen.

Curator's Kitchen: Fujian-style Dumpling and the North Point Community

Oi! of the Art Promotion Office (APO) locates in North Point which is known as "Little Fujian". You can easily find the Fujianese Culture in the daily life of the community in North Point. Go Stargazing with the Curators

The curators of the Hong Kong Space Museum will introduce stargazing knowledge and techniques with the use of the digital planetarium projection system in the Space Theatre to simulate the night sky. Participants can use the telescopes on the rooftop for stargazing.

Behind-the-Scene Tour of Space Theatre

Do you want to know how a Sky Show is produced? What is the secret of the OMNIMAX and the digital planetarium projection system? The curators will take you to tour around the main production facilities of the museum, including the Space Theatre, the computer and audio control rooms and the OMNIMAX Projector room, where you can have a better understanding of the production of various shows.
