A Night in Love with Monet (Special Notice)

French Impressionist master Claude Monet indulged his passion for art, gardening and culinary delights, which all blossomed with colours. With live music performance, the party at the museum will bring you a unique ambience for appreciating Monet's masterpieces. You can also taste French-style snacks, and join a cultural salon for exchanging ideas on French lifestyle and culture. This night, let's immerse ourselves in Monet's world to get acquaintance with the master's life.

Treasure in the Neighborhood - Yau Ma Tei Heritage Walk

To be led by the curators of the Antiquities and Monuments Office, the heritage walk will enable you to explore and understand the early life of people in Yau Ma Tei by visiting the historic buildings relating to different facets of life, such as water supply, fruit market, popular entertainment and traditional worship. You will be able to visit the former Pumping Station of Water Supplies Department, Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruit Market, Yau Ma Tei Tin Hau Temple and Old Yau Ma Tei Theatre.

Fun Science Excursion - Museum for All Programme Series

To tie-in with the Muse Fest HK, the museum has organised the Fun Science Excursion specially for participation of under-privileged groups. Interesting programmes include a science demonstration and guided tour. The "Fire in the Water" demonstration will reveal the magical chemical reactions among fire, water, hydrogen and oxygen. Apart from a guided tour, participants will also be given free time to explore the fun of science leisurely.

Guided Tour for the Visually Impaired - Museum for All Programme Series

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence and the Hong Kong Society for the Blind, this guided tour with audio description is specilally designed for the visually impaired to visit the exhibition and learn more about the history of the Hong Kong's coastal defence.

In association with the exhibition "Animal Grossology"

To tie in with the "Animal Grossology" exhibition, the Hong Kong Science Museum will organise two special programmes comprising of interactive drama shows and guided fun tours. Visitors can understand scientific facts in a joyful atmosphere, while their kids will experience the animal world in a funny way.

Animal Party Go Go Go!

Animal party gurus are now calling kids to join a party at Hong Kong Science Museum! If your kids are playful and curious about interesting animal stories, dress them up as insects or any kind of animals for the interactive theatre. Pencil mark the dates and let your kids have fun at the Animal Party this summer.

Amazing Animal Fun Tour

Animal party gurus have organised for the kids the Amazing Animal Fun Tour this summer! Kids can dress up with simple costumes provided by the museum and follow the gurus' footsteps to tour around the "Grossology" zoo, sure they will get hooked on the adventure-filled visits to poopy, bloody and slimy attractions. To see, listen, touch and smell, stinky fun starts here.

Fun Tour - Be a Little Monet: Enter the Impressionist Horizon - Museum for All Programme Series

Transforming into Mr Monet and the Lotus fairy, two drama instructors will guide little painters dressed in Monet outfits to go through the paintings by the master of impressionism. Monet's iconic works will be introduced in a vivid and interesting way. Through mini games and drawing exercises, the kids will be able to learn more about Monet's life and artworks. They will also learn Monet's techniques of colour collocation by referring to his favourite themes, and make their own paintings using creative ideas.

Guided Tour to King Yin Lei cum Terrazzo Craft Workshop

Participants will learn more about the history and restoration process of King Yin Lei. The curators of the Antiquities and Monuments Office and artisan of the King Yin Lei restoration project will introduce the craftsmanship of terrazzo, a nearly vanished traditional craft adopted in the restoration works. Participants can also have hands-on experience in making terrazzo.

"Museum of Art on Wheels!" x HKDI "My Bowl‧My Story" Flash Mob Party

Time flies, the pilot scheme of the ‘Museum of Art on Wheels' programme has come to an end. By the closing of school year, we invited 1,000 HKDI students to create hand-painted bowls in the theme of different Hong Kong district, adding together a unique flavor of Hong Kong.  A flash mob exhibition will be held for the students to share with the public their own stories.
