The pre-booking admission arrangement originally required for part of the "teamLab: Continuous" exhibition (the lawn area in Tamar Park) will be scrapped from May 8 (Wednesday) and visitors can visit the exhibition during the opening hours without prior registration.

Tactile Guidebook

This comprehensive multisensory assistive guidebook is designed to enhance the visitor experience during self-guided tours or those led by Beyond Vision International (BVI). It features a range of accessible formats, including Large Printed Text, Braille, Tactile Graphics, and a companion audio narrative.

Four sets of artworks have been selected from two exhibitions: Resonating Life which Continues to Stand and Resonating Trees in the “teamLab: Continuous” exhibition, as well as art group LAAB's Harbour Cup and artist Dylan Kwok's Schrödinger's Bed in “Science in Art” exhibition. Each artwork is accompanied by a series of carefully designed Tactile Diagrams, with an embedded QR Code that accesses an online Audio Description script, providing additional context and enriching the interactive experience.

“teamLab: Continuous” Multisensory Art-Making

Resonating Life which Continues to Stand is an artwork that features ovoids emitting continuous light, allowing visitors to explore the interaction and relationship between people, cities, and nature from a new perspective. This workshop aims to connect visitors with teamLab’s artworks through multi-sensory experiences and visual art creations. These experiences will inspire participants to tap into their imagination and creativity, and depict their relationship with the surrounding people, ovoids, and even the city.

The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to two exhibits in the “teamLab: Continuous” exhibition and participants will have the opportunity to interact with the exhibits. After this, there will be a 45-minute art-making session. Visually Impaired friends are welcome to join us, as Tactile Guidebooks and multisensory materials will be used in the workshop.

“teamLab: Continuous” and “Science in Art” Exhibition Accessible Guided Tour

Led by visually impaired tour guides, the exhibition tour for “teamLab: Continuous” and “Science in Art” allows visitors to rediscover the relationship and interaction between people. Although visually Impaired (VI) individuals might be unfamiliar to the general public, they are an integral part of our city. We are all different, yet we each radiate our own brilliance in our unique roles. The VI guides possess a heightened sensory awareness honed through their everyday lives. Participants will embark on an extraordinary multisensory interactive journey in the exhibitions. Tactile Guidebooks and Audio Descriptions are available on the Guided Tour. VI participants are welcome to join us!

Artist Talk – Art by teamLab (Concluded)

teamLab (f. 2001) is an international art collective. Their collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. Through art, the interdisciplinary group of specialists, including artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects, aims to explore the relationship between the self and the world, and new forms of perception.

At this event, Mr Takashi Kudo from teamLab will introduce the concepts and philosophies behind teamLab’s artworks that have been showcased in museums around the world, including the artworks currently being exhibited at “teamLab: Continuous” at Tamar Park in Hong Kong.

Mr Takashi Kudo was born in Tokyo in 1977. He grew up in Abu Dhabi, and graduated from Waseda University in 2000 with a B.A. in Literature and Philosophy. After working as the Editor in Chief for a video game magazine in Stockholm for 4 years, he returned to Japan to join teamLab.

Enrolment: The talk is free. Admission tickets of the talk will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis at Culture Plaza, Tamar Park, starting from 18:30 on the day of the talk. Each person is entitled to one ticket. Ticket holders can visit the "teamLab: Continuous" exhibition at 18:30 to 19:30 and 20:30 to 21:00 on the same day.

“Education Programme for SEN Children” is co-organised by the Art Promotion Office and Bridge Foundation to complement “Art@Harbour 2024”. Through the immersive art experiences and workshops, it provides unique opportunities for sensory stimulation, creative expression, and social interaction for children with special educational needs.
