Primary School | Story Theatre: Popularisation of Science in the Forbidden City |
Schools are vigorously promoting STEM Education to equip students with knowledge of science. Everyone is excited about it. As impatient as he is, Siu Lung wants to give up when he faces a problem. To ignite his passion for learning, Uncle Zicheng enchants and traverses with him to the Forbidden City, so as to learn the right attitudes from ancient people towards science. Back to 1693, Emperor Kangxi had malaria. Jean de Fontaney, a missionary, advised Emperor Kangxi to take a western medicine. Other ministers opposed this suggestion, because they doubted the effect of it. Siu Lung persuaded Emperor Kangxi, who eventually took the western medicine and recovered. After this incident, Emperor Kangxi decided to study science more in-depth. His people were benefited from it.

Secondary School | Story Theatre: Learning to Learn in the Forbidden City |
A group of high school students are rehearsing the drama of "Learning to Learn in the Forbidden City". Some of them think that Western missionaries were the great contributors to Chinese development of science and technology; while some think that Chinese culture was far superior to Western culture and had a more profound and far-reaching impact on the world. Their discussion goes heightened. The drama spans across the Ming and Qing dynasties, with characters playing the roles of Emperor Chongzhen, Dorgon, Emperor Shunzhi, Emperor Kangxi, Johann Adam Schall von Bell, and Ferdinand Verbiest. Historical events one after another reflect the exchange and conflict between Eastern and Western cultures. The students experience the spirit of learning to learn from the drama. They question whether they have really pursued knowledge with the help of modern technology.
