A Day with Cantopop
Hong Kong's popular music has evolved and transformed into various styles over the decades. There must be a few Cantopop songs on your playlist that you have been listening whilst you are going through ups and downs. "A Day with Cantopop" will lead everybody on a journey to explore the past, present and future of Cantopop via a specially crafted event and the "Hong Kong Pop 60+" exhibition in the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
In the event, Dr. Wong Chi-chung, Head of General Education of The University of Hong Kong, will be joined by multi-media artist Colin Mak (DJ Colin), as well as renowned music creators Chiu Tsang-hei, Joey Tang and Chan Wing-him, who joined in the local pop music industry in different periods, to discuss the development of local pop music, and share their hopes and visions towards the new generation in the field.
Besides, you can also create your own Cantopop-themed souvenirs at the event. Come and have fun with us!
