Making Joy: ICH Fun Day

The hustle and bustle of urban living may hinder you from experiencing the traditional culture and crafts hidden in our community. This year, we invite you to visit the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Centre for the Making Joy: ICH Fun Day and explore the funs concealed in the cultural treasures. You will get a glimpse of the local ICH.
Highlights of the Fun Day will be the Demonstration and Workshop on Mahjong Tile Making Technique and the Demonstration on Lion Head Paper Crafting Technique. You will learn from the masters the amazing craftsmanship of making a lion head with paper and bamboo and the process of making mahjong tiles. And what you should not miss will be the fun of colouring the mahjong tiles at the workshop.
A lot more of fun-filled activities will be featured at the Fun Day, such as ICH Reading and Storytelling Corner, Workshop on Chinese Herbal Sachet Making, Talk on Hakka Dialect and Folk Songs and Riddle Challenge. Along with the "Lost and Sound - Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage" Exhibition Series featured at the Hong Kong ICH Centre, you will have an unbeatable experience of the vibrancy of local ICH at the event.
