In association with the exhibition "Claude Monet: The Spirit of Place"
To tie in with the "Claude Monet: The Spirit of Place" exhibition, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum will organise a special themed programme called "The Spirit of Place – A Walk-through into the Art of Claude Monet", which includes a series of talks, workshops, school educational activities, community integration events and fun tours, through which visitors can understand and appreciate the works of this Impressionist master from different perspectives.
Getting to Know Claude Monet, the Master Impressionist Painter – Little Drawing Workshop
Claude Monet was a master Impressionist painter who loved outdoor painting and was deeply intrigued by changing light and shadow in scenes. This special workshop will introduce to children the life and artworks of Claude Monet through interactive story-telling and painting sessions, and inspire them to make their own paintings by referring to the themes of Monet's masterpieces.

Talk on Monet's Painting Techniques and Art
Many of Monet's paintings were colourful and captured the changes of light and shadows of scenes at different times and in different weather conditions in a simple and vivid way, leaving a deep impression in people's minds. The speaker will analyse Monet's painting techniques, including his understanding and use of colours, brushwork and composition. The speaker will also cover changes in his style of painting over time, giving participants a more thorough understanding of his painting techniques and art.

Tea Demonstration in Four Seasons
The choice of tea should differ according to the seasons so as to get the maximum benefits and help us stay robust in health, for the body and the mind. The Museum of Tea Ware has invited the tea-masters of Lock Cha Tea Shop and Sheung Yu Tea House to demonstrate various types of tea that can go with the seasons.
