Besides the rich collections and inspiring exhibitions, the unique architecture of a museum also often gains public attention. In Hong Kong, we have the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in Greek Revival style, Oi! in Arts and Crafts design style, the Hong Kong Railway Museum with Chinese traditional architectural features and the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery which was transformed from a locally built fireboat. Each of these museums has its own design story and historical significance.
"Crafting Your Museums", launched during the Muse Fest HK this year, selected these four museums with different architectural styles and invited designers to transform their blueprints into three-dimensional paper models for you to download online and to craft by yourself your own museums. The designers also added fun into the models with delicate designs of different figures and trees, allowing you to be creative with your paper models and build your personal museum complex.
Click the links below to get into respective inner pages where you can download and print the paper models. You can choose to print them on the paper in your favourite colour of paper and add unique details to your museum models.
