Simulating the spectacular stages of a total solar eclipse by using the advanced dome projection system, the Sky Show "The Stories of Solar Eclipse" will enable you to understand the cause of a solar eclipse and its influence on human history.

"The Wonders of Bamboo : Chinese Bamboo Carving Donated by Dr. Ip Yee" Exhibition

Showcasing a fine selection of Chinese bamboo carvings donated to the Hong Kong Museum of Art by Dr Ip Yee, this exhibition provides visitors with a comprehensive view of appreciating Chinese bamboo carving. It also commemorates the generosity of Dr Ip Yee, who went to great lengths to compile his collection of carved bamboo artefacts before bequeathing the entire collection to the people of Hong Kong.

"The Past is Continuing" Exhibition

Eighteen Hong Kong contemporary artists are invited to draw inspiration from the historical and cultural artefacts from the permanent galleries of Hong Kong Heritage Museum to create new artworks which embody both the traditional and contemporary philosophies. It is going to reread and reinterpret tradition in contemporary context, providing interactive and pleasurable experiences to the visitors.

"The Labyrinth of Film Scripting" Exhibition

Screenplay is unquestionably the soul of a film, and the origin of all drama. Throughout the years, the Hong Kong Film Archive has acquired manuscripts of many renowned Hong Kong scriptwriters. The exhibition showcases these valuable relics along with multimedia installations and selected film footage, offering audiences a chance to appreciate these thoughtfully penned screenplays.

"With the Passage of Time – Artefacts of Sun Wan, Dr Sun Yat-sen’s Second Daughter, and her Husband, Tai Ensai" Exhibition

This exhibition brings together the collections from five museums in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, namely Shenzhen Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of History, Macao Museum, the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History and The Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen’s Mansion. Through showcasing more than 100 precious relics and images, the exhibition introduces the everyday life of Dr Sun’s family, allowing visitors to share their joy, anger, sorrow and happiness while experiencing the unique Chinese-Western charm of Republican history.

Omnimax Show "Galapagos: Nature's Wonderland"

"Fighting as One: Reminders of the Eight-year War of Resistance in Guangdong and Hong Kong" Exhibition

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence and the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History, this exhibition features 65 sets of invaluable artefacts , supplemented with historical photographs, enabling the visitors to have a better understanding of how the war progressed and the significant role played by Guangdong and Hong Kong in the fight against Japan, as well as the life of Hong Kong people under Japanese rule.

"Walking in the Dreams" Exhibition

Visitors are invited to walk into the 11 dreamy spaces created by contemporary artists and interact with their works. Artists will present their "dreams" from various perspectives—psychology, psychiatry, religion, science and social relationship. The very concepts on dreams provoked by the artists will allow visitors to reflect on their own dreams, through which they can know more about their inner minds.

"Factory Hong Kong" Exhibition

"Western Scientific Instruments of the Qing Court" Exhibition

Through the display of about 120 pieces of precious scientific instruments and objects selected from the Palace Museum, together with specially designed interactive exhibits, the exhibition aims to allow visitors to appreciate the scientific treasures collected by the Qing emperors and understand the operation and scientific principles behind these objects. Furthermore, the exhibition will also inspire visitors to investigate the difference in scientific development between China and the West.

ARTivating Public Buildings

To provide with the public opportunities to access art in our busy daily lives and to offer new experience during their visits to government buildings, four groups of local artists, Tang Kwok Hin, thecaveworkshop, Jino Yeung and Li Tin Lun, are invited to tailor-make public artworks for Stanley Municipal Services Building, Tung Chung Municipal Services Building, Tai Kok Tsui Municipal Services Building and Lung Yat Community Hall respectively. A series of activities will also be prepared during the exhibition period, including workshops and guided tours, enabling you to trace the artists’ ideas and to experience the connections among artworks, culture and yourself! Free Dome Shows "Back to the Moon for Good" and "Cosmic Colors"

"Back to the Moon for Good" will take you on a journey to explore the moon and see how the teams from worldwide vie for the Google Lunar XPRIZE whereas "Cosmic Colors" will lead you to journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. You will be able to discover many reasons for color—like why the sky is blue and why Mars is red, and investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole!
