Alien Party@Space Museum

The Hong Kong Space Museum invites you to an outrageous party to explore extraterrestrial life through Star Gazing, Magic Planet and “Space Mission”. Dress up as an alien* and enjoy an exciting evening with our Alien Ambassadors.

*Do put on your alien costume for a cool look and join our Dress-up Session before the party.

Museum HAS Family Workshops

Including elements of history, heritage, art and science, the five Museum HAS Family Workshops allow participants to transcend different spheres of knowledge by illustrating historical buildings, re-inventing bamboo structure (History & culture), creative use of materials (Art) and exploring light in words and graphics (Science).


Moving Heritage@HDC - Heritage Drawing on T-Shirt Workshop

This workshop enables you to learn more about the background and structural characteristics of the historical buildings in Hong Kong and you could add on some personal new elements. You can even put on your own artwork and bring them wherever you go.

Bamboo Structure @ Museum of History - Mini ‘Faa Paai’ Workshop

Flower Board Craft (Faa Paai), which has been listed in “Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventory”, plays an important role in Hong Kong history. As a signature of celebration when opening new shops or having traditional festivals, Faa Paai has been used as an advertisement outside the shops. This workshop will introduce you the structure and the history of Faa Paai. Flower Board Craft master Wong Nai Chung will teach you to make your own mini plaque by using 3 kinds of materials: bamboo, metallic paper flower and masking tape.

Let the Material Speak @ Museum of Art

Apart from the creative concept, the selection of material plays an important role in art making, and sometimes even speaks for the artwork. This workshop focuses on the features of different materials and encourages participants to do art with mixed media.

Record of Light @ Science Museum

With the reflection of light, we could read and receive images through our eyes and imprint them into our brain. Have you tried to draw or write using light? By writing and drawing with torch in darkness, along with the help of camera’s shutter, you could see words and image dancing.
