Hong Kong Railway Museum
Converted from the old Tai Po Railway Station, the Hong Kong Railway Museum showcases diesel electric engines, narrow-gauge steam locomotive and six historical coaches.
Hong Kong Heritage Museum
A multidisciplinary museum that presents local living heritage and creative culture with special focuses on design, popular culture, photography, and Cantonese opera. It also presents exhibitions on cultures from around the world.
Sheung Yiu Folk Museum
A 150-year old Hakka village, a declared monument, features traditional dwellings, pigsties, a cattle shed, a watchtower and a drying terrace.
Astropark
The Astropark is the first theme park with stragazing facilities in Hong Kong and open 24 hours with free admission. The park is equipped with Chinese and Western astronomical instruments from the ancient times to the modern period. It is divided into three zones: Educational Zone for day-time use, Naked-eye Observation Area and Telescopic Observation Area for amateur astronomers, providing the public with a good place for stargazing and astronomy learning activities.

Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve
The Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve was originally called the Tai Po Kau plantation, covers a total area of 460 hectares. The area is heavily wooded, with more than 100 different species of trees. There are also many species of bird and animal. To cater for diverse generations and people with different interests, there are five way-marked walks for selection.
Lion Rock Country Park
The Lion Rock Country Park is one of the earliest country parks of Hong Kong, covers an area of 557 hectares. Although it is not very sizeable, the park boasts some of Hong Kong's best loved trails, including major hiking trails like the MacLehose Trail and Wilson Trail that pass through the uplands, and the more docile Eagle's Nest Nature Trail and Hung Mui Kuk Nature Trail. Famous sights include the Lion Rock and Amah Rock.
Ma On Shan Country Park
The Ma On Shan Country Park covers an area of 2,280 hectares. It forms a wide green belt with the neighbouring Sai Kung West Country Park and Lion Rock Country Park. The park has several barbecue areas, camp sites, tree walks and different hiking trails. It is a popular spot for leisure and recreational activities.
Sai Kung West Country Park
The Sai Kung West Country Park covers an area of 3,000 hectares, extends from Pak Tam Au to Yung Shue O. There are hiking routes of varying difficulty levels, many old rural settlements, various plants and animal species. The Wan Tsai Extension provides large campsites for group activities. Along the park, there are breathtaking coastal scenery and extraordinary rock formations, making it a famous attraction.
