Museums collect, conserve and exhibit their collections for the purpose of education and providing enjoyable and inspiring experiences.

They also conduct extensive researches to serve different purposes. Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government runs 14 museums, a film archive and two art spaces, each one unique in its focus. Broadly, these museums cover art, history and science.

LCSD organises the "Little Museum KOL" programme with the aims of educating children and promoting museum culture, providing them with opportunities to experience the joy of visiting museums. This programme has been well received by both children and parents!

The programme inspires children with array of activities and trainings, and empowers them to promote museum culture with creativity!
