Have you ever wondered what the current premises of the Hong Kong Museum of History were used for in the past? Can you believe that Chungking Mansions was once a luxurious residential building? This summer, join us on a time-travel adventure with your child at the Hong Kong Museum of History! In the "Multifaceted Hong Kong" exhibition series, discover the hidden stories of the last century alongside the museum curator and docents. You can visit the good old days of the most prosperous region of Kowloon, trace the lives of the earliest local Portuguese families, and learn about the lives of overseas Chinese. There are also fun interactive games waiting for you to challenge!

As the saying goes, "A roof overhead is what matters most", but the decorative roof tiles at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum are not just functional; they are true masterpieces of traditional craftmanship! Do you know that the stone-faced flooring and window grilles have secrets of their own, too? The museum curator will reveal the architectural symbols for you. Let’s discover the rich cultural heritage embedded within its walls!

During the event, you will step into a different dimension and meet some of the iconic comedy comics characters in Hong Kong, such as Old Master Q, Sau Sing Chai, and My Boy! Our guides will share with you the cultural significance of Hong Kong comedy comics in an engaging way. You will also have the opportunity to experience the unique comic art style and culture for yourself in the interactive exhibition areas.

Do you know? The Hong Kong Railway Museum is home to some very special "railway stars"—even more unique than Thomas and Friends! These legendary locomotives and coaches carry fascinating stories from Hong Kong’s past.

This summer, embark on a journey with your child through the historic railway station and follow the tracks of Hong Kong’s railway history!

On that day, you can:
  • Join a guided tour and visit the historic "railway stars" to witness 100 years of railway innovation.
  • Travel through the museums with new friends and learn about the daily routines of railway workers.
  • Take part in our specially designed interactive games to discover railway knowledge in a fun way.

  • Organiser's decision on all matters relating to the Programme shall be final. This includes the right to interpret, amend, cancel or suspend the terms and conditions and other arrangements of the Programme without prior notice.
  • All activities will be conducted in Cantonese.
  • Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Entrants shall understand and agree to grant and assign exclusively to the Organiser all the intellectual property rights of the entries, artworks, videos, audios and images.
  • The Organiser and/or the Organising Partner ("we" or "us", or "our") and our affiliates have the right to display the entrant's information, photos, images, videos or digital recordings in any type taken during the Programme, whether edited or original, in any form of media for demonstration, publication, exhibition, promotion or any non-commercial activities, including but not limited to, uploading the entries and recordings to the website and Facebook page of the Organiser. The Organiser also has the authority to edit, translate, adapt, use, copy, broadcast and distribute, in whole or in part of the entries or recordings without any need for prior consent or payment of fees to the entrants (in any time, media, format and country/region).
  • Entrants and guardians shall read the terms and conditions of the website carefully.
