Astropark is located at the West Sea Cofferdam of the High Island Reservoir in Sai Kung. It is the first theme park in Hong Kong to feature stargazing facilities and replicas of astronomical instruments from around the world, from ancient to modern times. The Little Museum KOLs were guided by curators of the Space Museum and spent an afternoon learning how ancient Chinese astronomical instruments worked!
The park featured several ancient Chinese astronomical instruments, including the armillary sphere, gnomon, star dial, moon dial and sundials. Even without computers and clocks, it was possible to tell time, determine the seasons and create calendars by observing celestial phenomena. The little KOLs were truly fascinated by the scientific wisdom of the ancients!
